A NOTE TO REGISTRANTS
*For the past weeks, we have been closely monitoring local, state, and federal health officials for guidance on this (COVID-19) public health emergency. We have also heard concerns from our attendees, members, presenters, and sponsors. All health organizations strongly recommend avoiding large gatherings and to do everything possible to mitigate the transmission of the virus through “social distancing.”  Their strong recommendation indicates that the risks are real and that more restrictive measures are a question of “when not if.” Due to the concerns from our attendees, members, presenters, sponsors, and information we are receiving from governmental agencies, including the WHO, CDC, and the LA County Department of Public Health, our Board has determined that it is in the best interest of our attendees’ safety and health to postpone Friday’s March 13, 2020, Employee Benefits Summit. As a non-profit association, we fully understand the challenges resulting from this cancellation and we sincerely regret the disappointment to everyone that will result from this decision. We nevertheless believe it is a prudent and necessary precaution. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Next Steps:
Our intention was to reschedule the in-person summit but given the uncertainty of the duration of this crisis, we are starting preparations to offer the Summit virtually through Webinars staring with the COVID-19 update from Dr. Laura Clapperfrom 12:30 pm–1:30 pm PT (registration link above).A complete schedule of future dates and times for additional Webinars from our incredible line-up of Summit presenters will be available in the coming weeks.
Naturally, for those wishing to receive a refund and miss the Webinars and CE credit opportunity, we will be honoring requests through 10:00 am PT this Friday, May 13, 2020. It will likely take 3-5 business days for refunds to credit cards, and 7-10 business days for those who paid by check.
